Michael Casa serves as Executive Director of Commercial Banking at National Bank of Arizona, where he has built a distinguished 24-year career since joining the bank in 2001. Over the years, he has held numerous leadership roles within the Corporate and Commercial Banking Division and has been a member of the bank’s Executive Management Committee since 2015.
In his current role, Michael oversees the Metro Phoenix Commercial Banking teams and leads several strategic initiatives across the organization. He has been instrumental in establishing five specialty banking platforms tailored to the unique needs of Medical, Contractor, Non-Profit, Restaurant, and Professional Service firms. He also manages the Equipment Leasing team and recently assumed responsibility for the Community Commercial market and Agribusiness Lending team.
Michael also heads Business Lending Services, which includes credit analysis, portfolio management, and the Banker Development Program. He is a voting member of the Credit Risk Committee for Zions Bancorporation, where he helps shape enterprise-wide credit risk policy and procedures.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Michael has lived in Phoenix, Arizona for the past 40 years. He is a graduate of Brophy College Preparatory and earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University’s Barrett Honors College, with a minor in Communications. He also completed graduate studies at Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington.
Community Involvement
Michael is a senior loan committee member of TMC Financing, which provides SBA commercial real estate loans in Arizona. He is also a life member of Executive Council 70, a group of professionals dedicated to raising funds for at-risk youth in the Phoenix community.
