Why NB|AZ?

  • The agreement between the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education and financial institutions allows the financial institution to keep 10% of the interest earned as their fee.  NB|AZ has made the decision to support the Foundation and contributes 100% of the interest earned.
  • NB|AZ IOLTA accounts include: unlimited transactions, no monthly service charge, digital images of your checks and 100% of the interest transferred to the Foundation.
  • Tracy Ward, formerly a Practice Management Advisor with the State Bar of Arizona, has joined the NB|AZ Executive Banking team.  She is available to answer questions about the IOLTA account.  This includes:  opening, closing, proper recordkeeping and what software is available to assist you.  She also has referral resources to help you run your practice smoothly.  Tracy can be reached at 602.212.8890 or

  • Continuing Legal Education – yes that is right.  NB|AZ will be hosting CLE.  Topics will include:  IOLTA (basics, advanced, software and how to), website design, paperless office, tech tools for lawyers, practice management software, billing and accounting software, fraud prevention, and the nuts and bolts of starting a practice to name a few.  Also look for some specialty programs regarding Dementia Care Planning for Your Clients, Collaborative Law – What It Is, Who Does It and How to Get Trained and Photo Radar Ticket – Now What?

  • In 2015, National Bank of Arizona was one of the Arizona financial institutions that participated in the Arizona IOLTA (Interest On Lawyer Trust Accounts) banking program which remitted $486,844 in interest. The program assisted the Arizona Bar Foundation in supporting help to over 6,750 households with the legal issues that they so desperately needed. As many banking customers may have experienced here in Arizona, housing issues were the most sought after legal assistance with consumer and financial issues in second.
