National Bank of Arizona was founded in Tucson in 1984. During its first 10 years of operation, the bank experienced dramatic growth and opened several offices in Tucson, Metropolitan Phoenix and Flagstaff.

In 1994, the bank was acquired by Zions Bancorporation, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and merged with Zions First National Bank of Arizona and Rio Salado Bank in the Metro Phoenix area. The following year the bank merged with Southern Arizona Bank in Yuma. In 1997, National Bank of Arizona acquired 11 Wells Fargo branches in rural communities throughout the state.

NBA's northern Arizona presence was further solidified by the acquisition of Prescott-based County Bank in 2000. Our growth continued into the new millennium when we acquired the nine Arizona offices of Pacific Century Bank during the first quarter of 2001. In 2003, the offices of Frontier State Bank were added to our team and most recently, in January 2007, we acquired the Stockmen's Bank.

Today, National Bank of Arizona has 75 offices in 54 communities throughout Arizona. The bank is recognized for its superior customer service and commitment to servicing the needs of businesses and individuals throughout Arizona.
